Mortgage Brokers - Independent Series 7 Rep

Hauppauge, NY — American Investment Training (AIT), a leading securities training company announces a new program that will allow mortgage brokers, processors and real estate agents to become independent investment brokers as an addition to their current business. This program is best for mortgage companies that have clients to offer securities or give investment advice to their clients for compensation.

CPA’s have had successful arrangements with broker dealers for several years. The accounting field has thousands of CPA’s that are Series 7 licensed currently working with AIT and other investment firms.

“Being able to offer investment services can be a big plus to the earning potential of the individual and the mortgage company, without the cold calling”, says Nick Hunter, CEO of American Investment Training.

AIT is looking to add over 100 mortgage brokers and groups nationwide over the next year to become licensed securities brokers as an addition to their existing business. These individuals would get sponsored for their Series 7, Series 65 and any other relevant licenses needed through AIT’s FINRA firm. “With competition increasing and the environment changing in the mortgage field, the opportunity to platform off of their existing customers into investments has given many loan and real estate brokers a great avenue to earn more money”, says John Olsen - Vice President of AIT.

Mortgage brokers and companies looking to explore this opportunity would speak with AIT regarding their client and business. If the loan broker wants to move forward, they would begin a process of obtaining their securities license – most likely the Series 7 to start. This is a 250 question multiple choice exam. When passed, the person would be a licensed “Registered Representative”. A registered representative can trade securities for commissions.

A Series 65 licensed person is a Registered Investment Advisor. An RIA can manage money and charge fees for the assets managed, instead of trading for commission. “A good thing about the Series 65 is a person can refer business to a broker dealer and get residual commissions from that broker dealer, if they choose not to do the investment business themselves. It allows for separation, which some real estate and mortgage companies may want”, says Hunter.

American Investment Training (AIT) www.aitraining.com is a leading provider of Finra training courses for investment licensing, insurance courses, CPA, CFP and more. They set up independent brokerage offices through their firm.

CPA and Accountant Sponsorship for Series Licenses

An accounting professional or CPA has a unique business where they are a trusted source of financial information. Becoming a licened (Series 7, Series 66 or other) financial advisor or broker allows many of them to earn commissions or referrals. To become licensed, the CPA must be hired and sponsored by a registered brokerage firm (FINRA NASD).

American Investment Training has set up hundreds of successful accountants and tax professionals as independent brokers and Series 7 sponsorship. This gives the CPA tremendous upside earning potential.

AIT's primary firms are specialists in 401k planning, annuities, mutual funds, life insurance and other retirement products. Our accountants have their own office, but are able to clear through a large full service brokerage firm and earn commissions ongoing.
